[Firefox] You have chosen to open: What should Firefox do with this file? (Disable download prompt/popup, automatically download)

 

    Firefox browser asking for download with prompt/popup dialog? But all you need is download it automatically?

1.    Press Alt in firefox browser, Help, More Troubleshooting Information (Alt-h-t for the short-cut).

2.    Modify handlers.json

3.    Copy & Paste the content then modify in https://jsonformatter.org/ editor page.

        *mime-type based on your file

3.    Copy the modified json (right side), then just replace (paste) the handlers.json content with it and save it.

4.    Exit (Close) firefox browser and re-open.

5.    Press Alt in firefox browser, Tools, Settings (Alt-t-s for the short-cut).

6.    Search words "applications" in Find in Settings.

7.    Select Action in Content Type of your own file type from Always Ask into Save File.

8.    Exit (Close) firefox browser and re-open. Now you have done setup the automatically download for your specific file as what you want.
